Tucked high up in the Berkeley Hills, with it’s backyard dissolving into Tilden Park, this lovely and very special wood and glass home had its share of funky and unsafe steps and paths, a defunct hot tub and its decking, patios and landings.  All had to be redone, while maintaining modernist bones with an organic approach to its surrounding environment.  Augmenting pre-existing stone, shifting some here and there, helped in the clarification and connectivity between distinct spaces and the paths between them.
