Slopes can be gorgeous. They can invite and envelop their visitors. They can be mysterious and alive. Building a handsome grotto with patios, landings, stairs and paths, a rock wall hugging water feature, a decked hot tub, Tim and Lisa replaced decrepit rubble walls and their inaccessible steps, leading to nowhere. Cutting into the formidable slope, and pushing it back, they sculpted the hillside with finely crafted stone walls, and an arched stucco wall (adding to the Tuscan echoes of the house), putting seductive flow and structure where none had been. GLD designed the wrought iron rails and house colors, putting the finishing touches onto this enchanted space.
