Inside this breathtaking home, the owners have created a beautiful weaving together of Japanese and eclectic aesthetics. The landscaping reflects this integrity everywhere on the large two acre lot. Closest to the house, the gardens are more formally Japanese and as one moves further away the Japanese gives way to a looser, more native, dry-loving California landscape. GLD designed a tea house with a connecting wooden pathway to a deck off the master bedroom. On the far side of the tea house flagstone steps lead you up to an organically shaped gunnite spa carved into the slope. A moon bridge crosses a creek, a sportcourt perched above a grassy knoll with floating rocks imbedded, reminds one of the lovely architecture of the home.
